Person Allegedly Hit In The Head With Hammer Behind Dundalk Church (Update)

One person is in the hospital and another is in police custody after they allegedly attacked someone with a hammer behind a Dundalk church, authorities and initial reports said.

Police responded to an assault in the 7900 block of North Boundary Road, said to be behind Our Lady of Hope Church, at 11:05 a.m. on Tuesday, April 5, Baltimore County Police said.

Police said a known suspect got into an argument with others that eventually broke out into a fight. The suspect got a blunt object from his vehicle, believed be a hammer, and struck one of the individuals in the head, police and initial reports said. 

The male victim was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center for treatment in serious condition, initial reports said. After reportedly fleeing the scene, the suspect was located and arrested, according to police.
